Cinnamon: Weird temporal paradox holes are definitely new to you, but holes in reality in general? You came from Arcadia. Alternate realities are nothing special to a Changeling. Though it's certainly not a common practice, every once in awhile the Courts do try and seal a gate to the Hedge. The way to do that is to find a capstone - some Hedge-spun item that didn't even exist until the gate was made. Bring it back to the Hedge through the gate it's tied to, and the gate closes. If the metaphysics here are at all similar... could it really be so simple as just pushing the Tesseract through the tear?
Crux: It takes a few tries, but you get the ol' gramophone back together. The cylinder starts spinning... slowly, haltingly, but it is moving. Seems it's going to take the laboratory a minute to get the hang of using it again.
Arden: Well, most of the math adds up - things like the electromagnets and the the mixture ratios for a hydrogen-oxygen torch to sublimate a sample of Tass - but one thing remains in question. There's a variable here you don't really understand, some value of energy with a negative charge. He tried to counter it with a positive charge of equal magnitude, but he couldn't project the proper wavelength... so he had to use a combination of electricity and alchemy to try and approximate it through constructive interference. It seems to add up - you can confirm the math - but it still didn't work. The only possibility that remains is that there's a missing element, something he couldn't detect and therefore couldn't duplicate. If the missing element is the Tesseract, then it should be a simple matter of disconnecting the faulty input and introducing the energy of the Tesseract instead.

"AH HA." Arden literally jumps up with excitement "I see where the gentleman, Tycho did you say his name was, went amiss. He didn't have the tesseract so he tried to substitute the energy for it another way, we simply have to swap out his improvising and put the tesseract in it's place then his arch should work. I kind of wish he could be here for this, i mean this work is BRILLIANT and he should see it's fruition. well lets just get these pieces together, after the gate is open, either she will walk through or we have to stick the Tesseract through it." Arden is looking at everyone with the eyes of a science geek witnessing something amazing with the posture of a boy who really wants to open a present.

"Master Tycho was good," A scratchy voice emerges from the gramophone. "Not as good as Lady Helena, but good. Master did his best without the Key. But you have the Key! My Lady made a trap to catch it so someone could find it and bring it here. My Lady is so smart." The image that comes to mind as you listen to the laboratory actually talk is that of a particularly intelligent dog...

"Oh! Hello! I am Crux. This is Karen. Where do I put the key, Room buddy?" She kisses the tesseract gently. It's clear she's attached to it, but is coping with the reality of having to let it go.
She looked to Arden and held the tesseract to her chest jealously. "Tessie picked me, and when they pick you, *then* you can handle them."
She smiled fangedly, though it was unclear if it was a goofy smile or some mirthful threat.

"wasn't going to ask for it Fang Lady. You may do the honors by all means, when you are ready of course." Arden looks only slightly wary since it was never his intention to piss off a vampire anyway.

Cass looked on amazed.
"Whoah."
He looked at Jude. She had been rather removed from everything. He reached down and clasped his hand over hers.
"Come on."
He lead her over to the gramaphone. He didn't let go when he got there. He didn't mean to, but it happened.
"Hello! I'm Cassidy, and this is Jude."
It's at this point he notices he is still holding her hand. He blushes a bit again, but he decides to wait till she objects.
"It's nice to meet you. We're here to help master Tyco and Helena."
Cass smiled at the machine. This was exciting.

Watching Cass introduce himself and jude arden comes back to himself. "Oh my apologies Lab, I should introduce myself. I'm Arden, I don't actually know your mistress or master Tyco, but seeing their love for each other, I will do everything i can to reunite them with both you and each other."

"Hi. My name is Gen. I have just met you and you are nice so I like you." If the laboratory had a tail, it would undoubtedly be wagging it. "If you want to help, you need to put the key in the lock so it can go home where it belongs. I'm not sure where that is, but I know it doesn't go anywhere in my Lady's Sanctum because it doesn't belong here. This thing doesn't belong here either," The signal lamp Gen used previously to facilitate communication swivels and shines directly on the tear, "so I think they go together. Master Tycho thought so too, but he didn't have the key to try so he had to use a machine. The machine worked a little before it broke, but not enough. But now YOU have the key so YOU can try!"

Cin backed away from the speaker just a bit. Talking machines? Oh boy.
"Guys, I think it's as simple as just sticking the tesseract into the rift. It works for closing Hedge portals and this is similar, from what I can see."

"May i make a recomendation, before we try fiddling with equipment whose theory i mostly understand can we try this the simple way? Can we try just putting the tesseract into the rift? This machine caused a lot of fire from what i saw and at least one of us would react poorly to fire." Arden is addressing the group as a whole but mostly looking at crux.

"My Lady always said 'the simplest solutions are the best'. You are smart like my Lady." Something approaching adoration is heard in Gen's voice. "I like you the best, new friend whose name I don't know yet."

Cinnamon's eyes widen at being addressed by the machine. An unexpected blush colored her cheeks.
"Oh, um, I'm...Keely. You can call me Cinnamon," she introduced. She chewed her bottom lip. She hadn't thought her comment would catch such direct attention. "But yeah, what's that saying? Keep it simple, stupid." Cinnamon grinned.

"You have two names? That is fun. I wish I had two names. Names are fun. I was very happy when my Lady gave me my name. It was fun." He's quite loquacious, isn't he?

Jude found herself being led by the hand to the talking gramaphone. She raised her free hand in a wave. "Hi, Gen." She said sweetly. As for her hand being held, at the moment she didn't seem to notice or maybe just didn't mind. Who knew what was going on in her head.
She gave a bit of a glance to Cass before giving Arden a confused look. "Not to be that guy...but that's what we have been saying. Well...not me, but yeah. The not listening thing is getting on my nerves and you should thank whatever higher being you believe in that i don't take after my parents. " she gave him an all too sweet smile.

Cass smiled as he listend. He liked Gen.
"You can have two names too! I love nicknames! I give em all the time! Hmm i called you Obi-Wan earlier we can call you Gen Kanobi! You are our only hope right now."
He was snapped away from the conversation by Jude's outburst. Wow that was aggressive, but...
"Huh, I think I like you Magical Girl."
