Crux, still slightly confused as to what everyone else has been doing, cuddles around Johannes' shoulders, and has Karen around her own shoulders in a similar fashion.
She'd zoned out a bit, but took interest in the bones Cass had, and then looked to the rest of the group expectantly.
"So, eh.. what else did everyone buy? Is everyone even here?"
She offered a vacant stare and nibbled Johannes' ear.

Still creeped out by the silence and the cold wind, Jude focused on the folded paper in her hands.
"I didn't buy anything...nothing really caught my attention. " she replied softly. She avoided looking at Crux, however, as she was draped over Johannes and he scared the shit out of her.

Arden is certain the Fate led him to this place and time. This was a classic double edged sword here is knowledge beyond dreaming, oh also you will probably die.
Arden slowly removes his hand from the facepalm position
"Oh you know, just an old book for my library. Some light reading" Seeing the owlish woman's discomfort "So what brings a nice person like you to a place like this..." (wits plus expression 13) fuck... did i really just say that

Jude shifted her gaze to the other mage and lifted an eyebrow. Really?
"Oh you know, the typical got a mission from The Master, ran into this lot and was deceived by a food truck." She replied simply.
"What about you? It isn't every day that a mage gets spit from a door." Or maybe it was, Jude really wouldn't be the one to know.

Blushing violently "Oh you know, I was sent to chicago because news of "weird things" reached boston. And then after an hour of being here i fell through the street and wound up here."

"Eh. You'll get used to it." Johann, not bothering to conceal his amusement at the mages, shrugs and lights another cigarette. "I've been from one end of this ball of dirt to the other. Seen plenty of weird stuff. This ain't anywhere near the worst of it." As an afterthought, he adds, "And if you've got something you need, I might be able to assist." He gestures to Cass, Cinnamon, and Crux. "These three made a deal. Only fair that you get a shot."

The Black Locomotive
The last bolt is in place, the last nut tightened, the last joint oiled. The boiler, freshly filled with coal, roars to life. The tracks before you rise from the sand, disappearing into the distance. The great steam whistle howls like a banshee as the train lurches to life. You are on your way to your destination - perhaps not the place you want to be... but the place you need to be. As the train thunders through the blasted lands from which it was resurrected a peculiar mist enshrouds it. You feel (and in Arden's case, see) a shift in your surroundings. The vibrations of the speeding train are more subdued, the air less stale and heavy (the landscape outside has fallen away - you do not travel through a void, per se, but the ground has fallen away leaving only the tracks). You pass some time in idle talk; it is not long before another shift occurs with a crash of breaking branches. The brakes squeal, dragging the Black Locomotive to a screeching halt. Of their own accord the car doors swing open, letting in the scent of flowering shrubbery and maple syrup. Through the left-hand windows you see a MASSIVE beast of bramble and thorn: Bleeding sap and roaring in pain and rage, the creature smashes its way down the path directly towards the train. The reason becomes apparent momentarily; Ysolda. The white-haired viking woman leaps into the car, doors closing behind her, disheveled and splashed with blood - you're not sure how much of that is hers and how much is Hedge Beast. Before anyone can speak the train shakes with the thunderous crash of the beast's fist against the roof, but for all its apparent strength the train suffers not so much as a scratch. The steam whistle sounds again and the train resumes its course, leaving the beast behind to screech and claw at the cars with impotent fury. Another shift comes soon, bringing silence with it. In his head, Arden hears a very familiar voice in his head. Apprentice. I need you to deliver the following message to the Valkyrie that has just joined you. 'The Prince says to the Farmer; the second act draws to a close, the third act is soon to begin.' She will know what it means. For her part, Ysolda has a very 'all in a day's work' attitude about all this. "Good timing. That thing was a pain in the ass." She starts wringing the blood out of her hair, the train's carpeting slowly absorbing it like a sponge. "I see you all got a new ride. I assume it's going to help?"

Arden puts his new book carefully into his back pack and stands up. Turning to the newcomer he bows deeply and say "Madam Valkyrie, It would appear i have a message for you. "The Prince say to the Farmer; the first act draws to a close, the second act is soon to begin" (Internal monologues for me will be in parenthesis) (Fuck, sweet fuck, what in the nine hells am i getting involved in now. I'm never going to get to read this book... Fine, nothing for it. "MENTOR. Now i know you can hear me inside my head, I need to know a realisitic appreciation for my chances of coming through this sequence of event alive and in possession of my mental faculties?") "Johann, Is there anything there that looks like Irish whiskey??? I have this feeling i'm going to need it"

Crux, during the chatter, is rummaging around the bones of the long dead, checking them for anything useful- armor, weapons, or maybe a vision, she's not entirely sure what she's capable of anymore.
(Rolled an 18, tell me what to add for buffs if applicable )
The beast unsettles the slight Canadian, but her faith is in the locomotive, and grows as she sees the enormous presence of Ysolda's being show up. Of course, she's still high, and the scent of blood blazes her mixed senses.
"Is..is that you I smell in my ears? Eh?" She says with a slow blink and a tremor she doesn't seem to notice.

Cass looked raised the Hockey Mask from his face, and laced the leather strapping to his belt.
"Now uh, that was a bit cryptic there Ardy, eh?"
He then looks over to the Hedge Monster and back to the silver haired woman.
"I can see you were having some fun. Welcome back! We got a lot to tell ya don't ya know!"
Cass throws his arm around Arden and pats him on the shoulder.
"Like how we made ourselves a new friend here! This here is Ardy, and he's a mage just like you and Jude! He's been pretty cool."
Cass looks behind him at Cin, Crux, and Jude. Perhaps he was looking for backup in his statement, or maybe just gauging the general reaction to what he said. He was trying to be mindful about his big mouth. He had been fucking up a lot and wanted to remain on everyone's good side.

Cass hears crux from behind him. He chuckled.
"Don't mind Crux too much. She's had a bit of fun and is on a bit of a space odyssey if ya know what I mean."

Arden looks around a bit distractedly. "yes well i can't help the cryptic nature, they aren't my words. When a person of unfathomable power asks you to relay a message, well you relay it. I'm sure our distinguished guest will enlighten us if we need to know something." Arden looks kind of enviously at Crux wondering what it would be like to take that trip.

Jude lay curled up on the seat, much like a contented cat, holding the heart close to her. She only looked a little startled at Ysolda's entrance. This was her life now. She pushed some hair out of her face and then waved to the other mage.
"I'm so glad there was a train stop." She said happily.
"And translating for other beings is usually cryptic. But the message is usually understood by who it is for. " she nodded, stroking the heart again.

Cass let's go of Arden and with his hand pats on the Chief.
"Yeah I can understand that. I barely know what the chief is telling me half the time. You just gotta go with it sometimes, eh?"

Cin sat in a comfy chair, her thick brows furrowed in thought as the train rushed towards where ever it was taking them. Now that the adrenaline from killing the traitor-bitch had drained a bit from her system, the fairest was worried. That had been the only lead she'd found so far as to why things hadn't changed and it had led no where. Maybe she was thinking too far into it, but it felt like there were more people than just Sofia involved and working for the Nothing/Void/Abyss/Whatthefuckever.
At all the commotion, Cin had jumped to her feet and gripped her letter opener, ready to fight. When she saw Ysolde, she forced herself to relax a bit and retook her seat. She couldn't help but smile at Crux's trip.
Hearing Arden's words to Ysolde, Cinnamon sat up straight.
"He's talking about...Simon, right?" she questioned, her gray eyes darting between the two. The titles of Prince and Farmer reminded her of the crazy riddle that started them down this path. "What does he mean, 'second act'?"
