Without missing a beat, Johann produces a bottle labeled ' Eire Uisceluisge' from behind the counter. Though the bottle looks brand new, the label looks aged and weathered, and the Gaelic it is written in is NOT a contemporary dialect. "Drink up, kid." Ysolda's eyes widen as the message is delievered; her relief and disbelief are almost palpable. She chuckles at her vampire friend, "Heeey Crux. How's it going? Been noshing on changeling blood, huh?" Shifting her attention to Cass, "Yeah... I'm not going to pretend wrecking monsters several times my size isn't fun. Really, it never gets old. You did pick up another one of us! Not quite like Jude and I; he's an Acanthus, but we won't hold that against him." She spares Arden a glance and flashes him a smile - it can only be described as predatory, but with a high-level Thrysus that's not entirely her fault. It's a friendly sort of predatory! Her gaze also drifts over to Johann. They lock eyes for a few moments before giving each other the barest of nods; you're left with the same impression you get watching alpha predators meet and decide not to maul each other in nature documentaries. "Your message, though," returning to Arden, she addresses him directly, "It only seems cryptic to those new to the troupe. To the old players..." She leans against the wall of the car, eyes closed, and sighs. "Thank Freyja the time has come. A hundred years and who knows how many attempts we've made to take this next step... and it's finally upon us. We've finally found the ones who can do it." From her pocket Ysolda produces the Tesseract. Though you're not quite in the Hedge anymore, the Locomotive retains some of its properties; as such, you catch a glimpse of Tesseract's manifold nature.

Tesseract( Image uploading was being something of a bear, so it got all broken up. Oh well.) Ysolda holds out the Tesseract (its dimensions, such as they are for the purposes of holding the object, most closely resemble the perfect regularity of the second form you are able to perceive). "Tycho wanted to examine it, but he'll have to do without. You're the ones who will take it and usher in the second act, so Simon says, and I believe him. What that means I don't know, but it's a step in the right direction."

Arden is visibly torn between excitement and freaking out. "Are you talking about what i think you are, are there truly that many events that happened a hundred years ago? I'd ask if you were insane, but well not many of us retain sanity that far down the rabbit hole." Arden takes the bottle from johann. "Thank you sir, i believe this is going to be needed." Arden starts drink straight from the bottle but not too quickly.

Crux keeps searching for anything useful, licking any artifacts she touches, giving them nibbles. "Ysolda... I was visited by my father! I'm going to be sooooo popular. I'm going to try to kiss the snausage king when we get home." She was incredibly optimistic, but peered toward the group as the "second act" is discussed. "I need.. a nap.. gonna try to see what we should do when we get to..." she shrugged and mumbled. Crux also looked around for cool clothes to change into, stripping nearly naked as she rummaged with her free hand. Her makeup is long gone and her hair flat but not really unflattering. She pauses, in her drug induced stupor, and stares around. "Anything else I should nap over?" (Rolling for useful things and clothes, what do I add to this?)

Jude looked at the tesseract and sat up to focus better on it. She heard the names being tossed about, but none of them really meant anything to her. She rubbed her eyes a bit.
"Okay, I am more than a little confused. Who are the people you speak of, and what are we doing?" She glanced at Johannes. "Also, is there anything back there that isn't acoholic to drink? Preferably something hot...coffee? I'll even take tea?" She really just wanted the caffeine boost.

"If what you're thinking about is the Ascension War? Yeah, I am." The remaining blood on Ysolda begins to flow of its own accord onto the floor, leaving her clean. "I was there. I fought for... well, a cabal that doesn't exist anymore. Doesn't matter. Helena saw the calamity coming. Came up with a plan for us to escape it. If anyone could have done it, it was her - she was always the cleverest of us. I guess you could say it worked... we skipped over the critical moment... but it wasn't at all like we planned." She unbraids her glorious mane of white hair and proceeds to the bar, where Johann fishes out a bottle labeled Skáldskapar Mjaðar for her. Taking a drink, she laughs, "Oh, and you don't know what mad is, disciple. You are young, and really, life has been kind to you. You'll learn. It's good for you! Makes you stronger." There's that smile again. She turns her attention to Crux. "This one, now! She knows what mad is. Malkav spoke to you? Damn. You are gonna be popular. Solomon probably will kiss you."
As far as searching for objects on the train goes; the Train is alive, in a sense, so in a way you're not searching it so much as subconsciously asking it for things. You're projecting your desires upon it, a play on an Empathy roll. How you do that does depend on your attitude, be it forceful or persuasive - using Presence or Manipulation respectively, which will affect the Train's attitude and response. What you want and how specific you are will also affect the result. Your 'clothes' request is clearly stated, forceful ('i want cool clothes') easy to fulfill, but broadly defined, so the Train provides something appropriate to a 1920s flapper - in black, of course - and the Train is apparently cooperative, as you find it sitting on a chair which had previously gone unnoticed.

"You are no doubt correct Arc, if i live so long as to experience it i'm sure my perception of "sane" will grow and alter." Looking around at everyone and no one in particular. "Now can someone PLEASE fill me in on the details or will i have to do something I am certain will give me a headache to get the information i need to be more helpful and hopefully extend my life span?" Looking over at Crux appreciatively "Flapper doesn't look like your thing, usually goes better with shorter hair, try late 70's early 80's London punk/proto goth. And if you'd like a boost to your dreaming I can do that."

Crux scoffed at the flapper comment as she slipped on the frock carefully, followed by unclipping a mass of hair extensions from her head. "There are prophecies we've been working from, and Solomon is the leader of the vampires in Chicago. He's one of my clan," she began, beaming with pride at being called mad. From her old jacket, she was able to take a comb and style her hair, chuckling as karen spoke to her. "Karen says I dress for us, not you. Annnd.. I Dunno if I need augments. We'll need augments to figure out the visions, though..." Her lingerie is visible through the dress, and she seems proud of her look after quick, mirror free makeup touch ups. "Hmmmm," crux says as she's given things from the train. "Lookie! Things!" (22 on empathy roll, 25 on persuasion. We want to be nice to our locomotive friend here) Attachments:

Ysolda laughs. "Arc? Arc? Is that a thing you kids say? Really?"
Poking around on the train reveals two peculiar items; they can only be described as 'calling' to you. The first is some kind of ornamental piece - perhaps a necklace without its chain - silver, with an onyx stone. The second is a small ampuole, wrapped in snakeskin, containing a remarkably well preserved cutting of the verbena plant. Other, more mundane items are also recovered; a first issue Colt .38 Police special (one bullet missing from the chamber, and a small cache of about 30 rounds complete with quick loader) with its accompanying truncheon, a wide brim black fedora, the components of a penny-farthing waiting to be assembled, a very nice collapsible hand fan, a cigarette extender, and a near-mint-condition Seneca Competitor camera.

"Yes, Arc. It is a term of respect when addressing an arch master, especially when you have not been given permission to use their given name." (sigh, this is going to be interesting in the way the chinese meant the curse. And if i don't get answers soon things will definitely get "interesting") Arden notices Crux's luck in finding things in the train but decides against looking, something told him it wouldn't go well for him.

The conversation continues to amuse Ysolda. "You young ones love your abbreviations. I mean, look at texting. The hell is that? Archmagi, we were called. Back in the old days. That, and other things; each cabal tended to have its own way of titling members. The Hermetics were the worst," She rolls her eyes to emphasize her displeasure, "with all their 'lord of the golden pentacle' or 'keeper of the celestial key' or whatever other frivolous nonsense that went along with all the politics of the day. We didn't hold with such nonsense." She is visibly reluctant to clarify who 'we' is - doesn't take an Empathy roll to extrapolate from the distress in her features that she's speaking of her old Cabal, and misses them dearly. Anyway. Details. Not many of those, I'm afraid. The only person who knew enough Fate magic to See clearly the outcome of all this is currently trapped beyond time - but that assumes she even did See clearly. Fate is rarely certain, more a bundle of possibilities. This Prophecy wasn't even revealed to her; the Dreamspeakers told us, but they heard it second-hand as well.
Four go up the frosty crown, but three come tumbling, tumbling down.
I fear no Winter King,' said he, a Prince of rabbits, fine of fur, We are four and he is one, as lucky a battle as ever there were. But when its hunting song was heard, as great as the moon, as wide as wood, The rabbits quite forgot themselves, and frozen there like saplings stood.
The Prince, he said the greeting, The Tinker followed through, The Farmer bought three loaves of bread, But the Jester paid the due. The Prince said 'please' and 'thank you'. The Farmer, 'how do you do?' The Tinker stole an apple, But the Jester paid the due.
Four went up the frosty crown, but three came tumbling, tumbling down."
Ysolda lapses into a brief silence after this recitation, her expression thoughtful, and drinks her mead. "None of us are sure what it means. Is it just about our past experiment gone wrong? Or does the verse repeat, old words with new meanings?" She shakes her head, mane of hair swaying. "I noted the similarity to Shakespeare, Simon divined there were indeed five acts, and Tycho reasoned out which players we each are. We've struggled along since then, mostly just trying things - occasionally they even work - but we do know one thing; Helena needs to be returned next, and we can't be the ones to do it. We can't even know for sure how to do it. It should be as simple as taking the Tesseract to the right location in space... though what happens after that is anyone's guess." Shrugging, Ysolda returns to her mead, though eyeing Arden as if expecting further questions.
(NOTE: I had a brain fart during the original writeup and must retcon: The SECOND act is drawing to a close. The THIRD act is about to begin. I am going back to edit my earlier posts accordingly.)

(A riddle i love riddles, handy little spell for that) Arden eyes the bottle of Third eye before his face sets and he takes a swig. (Reveal Enigmas 28 plus a willpower spent plus whatever Third Eye does)

Based on the elements you know of, this 'riddle' is of exceptional difficulty, imposing a -4 successes penalty, leaving you with net successes of two. You simply don't have enough information to make for proper deductive reasoning, and no intuitive leap comes to mind. The symbolism of the names is interesting. The Prince, a leader but not senior, still with much to learn. The Tinker, an inventor, the clever one. The Farmer, practical and grounded, with an affinity for the natural world. The Jester... that one's tricky. The Fool as an archetype often represents someone at the beginning of a journey, someone with much to learn... but in other senses, The Fool is the wild card. The Fool of medieval courts was an entertainer, but also the only one who could put a mirror to contemporary events in an unapologetic fashion - criticizing and insulting anyone, as long as it was funny. The Fool of Shakespeare was usually of common standing but great wit and character, able to outmaneuver those of 'higher' standing, obeying no one and in many ways the truest of all characters on the stage. In short, though not a villain, The Fool is dangerous.
An Intelligence+Academics roll, relevant specialty in Literature, may give more details, though their usefulness is up to question.

( Arden you are an idiot and you had better hope you are wrong) "Arch Master, am I right in assuming that what we need is a more complete understanding of things? Specifically do we need more information on the Tesseract, we know where to take and basically what we maybe have to do, is that sufficient or do we need more?" Arden looks hopeful that the answer is no.
