After the invigorating swing number and talk with Grandfather, Jude was surprisingly pumped! Mostly due to the fact that she got to go costume shopping. She had no idea what she was going to wear for the Halloween meeting. The life mage wandered around the apartment a bit until she settled on the sofa and began looking through her phone.
"So...costumes. should we dress as a group, or are we doing our own thing?" She asked looking at the rag tag team.

Cass plopped down on the couch next to jude. He put his arm around her shoulder.
"Costumes! That's a great idea eh!? I've got a few ideas! I do love a group theme though."

Jude leaned into Cassidy as he put his arm around her and smiled. "I don't know what group we would do." She tapped on her phones looking for ideas. "We could dress as Pokemon! Or uhm Legend of Zelda characters! That would be a lot of fun."
She looked at Cassidy, "What do you think? Any ideas?"

Helena stirs from her catnap. "If you two have matching costumes I just may lose it. Stop being so adorable." She yawns, stretches, and sits up. "What am I gonna wear?" Brow furrowed, she retrieves a brand-new laptop from her satchel and starts browsing the internet for ideas. "Disney princess?... ehh, no. The only one I really like is a brunette, and she wears yellow." She makes a face. "Jedi... do not have particularly flattering outfits. Starfleet likewise... hmm."

Cass thought a moment on Jude's words.
"I'm not sure. We don't usually agree THAT much haha. I don't know much about Zelda except that everyone thinks that the dude is Zelda, and I haven't checked out Pokemon since the first 150. I did enjoy it though It's just with the dying thing I never got around to playing the other games."
Cassidy's next thought was interrupted by Helena. He stood up in excitement!
"OHH! It's right in front of ya eh!? You're a time mage, you wear blue all da time, and you made the car bigger on the inside! You need ta be a TARDIS!"
Cass claps in excitement.
"That would be so dank!"
He plopped back down next to Jude returning them to their previous position. All while mouthing a 'sorry' for the disruption in her comfort.
"Matching costumes though! That would be fun! If you like the idea anyway... Maybe something from the comics? Big fan of DC."

"OhmygodYES!" Helena claps her hands together. "I love Doctor Who-wait there's NEW ONES?!" she practically shouts with wide-eyed excitement. Her refined search apparently informed her of the 2005 relaunch. "Aaand now I have to download all of these... there we go. But TARDIS dress! Yes. I'm gonna look cute. But you know speaking of Zelda and Link, you two could totally pull that off. Or. OR. Hee! Because people always get them mixed up, you guys could make a gender-swap of it."

Jude laughed softly, "You would look super amazing as the TARDIS!" She chimed in, looking rather excited. This was going to be so much fun. You know, dressing up for a meeting to try and stop a civil war. Fun times! Her eyes then slid to Cass in confusion. "Did you just say 'dank'? Unironically?" She blinked at him, not sure on how to react on the situation.
"Oh! That's actually a really good idea! OH I KNOW WHAT WE CAN DO!" She sat on her knees and turned to face Cassidy completely. "How would you feel about wearing a mankini?" She asked in all seriousness. "Because we could totally do gender swapped Raven and Beast Boy. OR! or, hear me out. Nightwing and Starfire. I would be willing to dress as Dick Grayson." She put her hands on his shoulder. "Wouldn't that be so much fun?"
Jude turned her head to look at Helena behind her, much like the owl she resembles. "Don't you think it would be fun too?" She grinned.

"I do not know those characters off the top of my head..." A quick Google Image search later, and she collapses into a fit of giggles. When she catches enough breath to do so, she says, "Do it! DO IT!"

Cass looked up into to large eyes of the woman in front of him. He listened to her and Helean. A smile curled up on his lips. He jumped up picked jude up and twirled her.
"That is the best idea ever! We have to go out and buy pink shiny stretch fabric! I'd love to do star fire!"

Jude squealed and laughed as she was twirled around the room. She grinned, "This is going to be so awesome!" Her outfit was pretty basic, but she had to decide if she would just colour her hair or get a wig. She would worry about it later. It would be easy enough to find a wig or even temporary hair dye.
The Life Mage steadied herself on her feet and looked at Cassidy, stifling the laugh that threatened to bubble over at the thought of him with pink hair. She reached up and started messing with his hair a bit, "We could just build it up and back a bit, paint it pink and get so much glitter. You're going to look like an alien stripper." She smirked. "Nice."

Al finished up his cigarette, lit another, and then helped himself to a second Old Fashioned. He turned down the music as everyone began to chat about costumes and their resulting plans for the upcoming holiday. At first he just listened quietly, hoping to catch on, but none of it was remotely familiar. He still couldn't quite wrap his head around the speed everyone communicated in, and the list of idioms and cultural references were stacking up. He started to fantasize about current events as a muse personified, and how he'd totally be fucking her right now just to get his head on straight.
"I could use some help." He lazily exhaled his words with his smoke.
"I feel severely out of my depth." He smiled wryly at the last bit, as sharing his feelings honestly wasn't something he was quite used to.

Gloria, juggling half a dozen different conversations on her phone, doesn't look up but does respond to her colleague. "If I could lend you my download protocol I would - doesn't work that way, unfortunately." (she is referring to an Embed called 'Download Knowledge', which you may find appropriate and useful to buy with xp) She swirls her martini, looking thoughtful. "I gotta believe there's something we can do about that, though. Hey, blue mage babe," Helena looks up immediately. "You think there's something for that?"
The eyes are the windows to the soul, as they say; through Helena's eyes you can practically see the gears turning. "Usually, no, because Demon minds are sufficiently different constructs from mortal minds that a lot of editing techniques don't work -but if YOU'VE got a power to edit your OWN mind... yeah. Yeah, I bet I can work something up. Might take a little bit. Someone will still have to give you a crash course in the meantime, hun." She addresses Al with this last sentence.

Cass smirked. The idea of pink hair was fun. The idea of just sharing something like this with someone was fun. He just...
"Alien stripper huh? Guess I'll have to get some tips from Cin. I'll of course have to practice with you. I can't trust anyone else to be honest with their review, eh?"
The large canadian's grin grew larger. He just wanted this all to last. Gloria, Gutenberg, Crux, Cin, Jude. He wanted all of them to stay and continue on, but would they? Who knows. Just enjoy it in the now, he thought. There was one thing, maybe two that he felt needed to happen before this great war.
"Hey, Jude? Mind stepping outside with me? Won't be but a minute."
Now or never. This was the moment.

"I will most definitely give an honest review." She grinned and then kissed his cheek. "This is going to be so awesome!" she really was excited, but also nervous. She knew things were bad and would probably have to ask for help. Due to her lack of being active until recently, she didn't know how many mages would actually want to help her. She would figure it out, hopefully.
Jude looked confused at Cassidy's question. "Yeah, sure..." she replied. It was such a sudden switch. She glanced around as everyone spoke about how to help Al figure out the future. "We will be right back, guys." She called and then headed outside with the tall Canadian.

Cassidy felt the mood shift after he asked Jude for some Privacy. He immediately moved to try and put any bad pretenses or feelings at ease. He held her hand, gave it a squeeze and smiled.
"Just two seconds. Nothing bad, just... Private. " He laughed a bit. Some of his excitement managed to leak in through. "We'll be back in a minute!" He waved to everyone in the room before leading Jude out the door and into the night air...
Once outside Cassidy let go of Jude's hand and began to swing his arms back in forth in a nervous type of gesture. He laughed again. This time it was a bit different. The excitement was still there, but there was something else. This was the kinda laugh he got before they all got into trouble. The kind of laugh he put on while opening his grave dirt... That wouldn't help to protect him here... Pity that.
"So... Promise not to laugh at me?" He paused for a moment. Maybe he intended on letting Jude respond, but he continued before she could. He wasn't meaning to be rude. He just wanted to get this out before he lost his nerve.
"I haven't done anything like this since high school, eh, and that's actually a bit longer ago than it seems... Now that I say that out loud dough I'm not sure if that helps or hurts my case any."
He stopped for a moment to consider the girl in front of him. For god's sake Cass. The chief may have thought. It was hard to tell. He only really gave off vague feelings of what he meant. This left Cassidy to try and translate. This time he felt like the violent spirit inhabiting his hockey mask was saying, 'For gods sake Cass! You charged right into a Briarwolf for Christ sake! This should be a cake walk.'
The Geist had a point. Cass fluffed his hair in a sign of regained confidence.
"We may die out there. There's a war coming... So there's no time like the present, eh?"
She was probably confused. Guess it was time for him to get on with it...
"I like you a lot Jude. You're beautiful, tough, resourceful. I like ya, and. Well, well I was wondering if you'd might want to go steady?"
Steady? Wow... All Cass really knew on the subject of love was all he saw from mid 90's teen dramas... He was almost as bad as Crux and her Googleing.
