"What's Gloria pointing at?" she responded to Johann calmly, pulling at some piercing in her ear. Crux was still doing her best to be observant, though she was a bit.. wobbly.
Leaning into the devil, she looked to Cass first, with a pout. "I will have you know I am a virgin and even was when I was alive, so I am not any type of person, Cassidy."
She huffed a little. "Diddling is an inaccurate and incomplete assumption, you know. I just..don't want Karen to be lonely..." Crux said with wide, worried eyes.
Then, she looked at Cinnamon.
"If he says I gotta soul, then I gotta soul. And thank you so much for making a contract with Gloria, 'cause you're the cause of this amaaazing party."

Cass looks over to Cinnamon.
"oh, and how could I forget!"
He pours another round of shots and hands them out.
"To Cinnamon! For not dying, and being the crucible for our meeting with Mr. Gutenberg!'
Cass pounds his shot down and promptly plops back down in his seat near Gloria. He looks the image of amusement as he scans the room looking at his friends. For the first time in weeks he felt at peace. He looks back over at Crux.
"Oh, and we'd be happy to keep Karen company while you go talk with Mr. Gutenberg Crux. We're all friends here after all, eh."
Cass giggles slightly, and takes another drink.

Gloria, quite amused by the whole situation, just holds up a hand. "Hey, none of my business. Consenting adults and so on. I got rooms if they want one - I don't particularly care either way." She decides to switch it up with a Cosmo. "As for God, well, she's out there somewhere with the Heavenly Host, just... doing whatever she's doing." Shrug. "Of course, it's more complicated than the Catholics tell it. Just one god? Ha. Yahweh or HaShem or whichever of the dozens of names you want to use may be the first or greatest or highest or whatever, but alone?" She scoffs and shakes her head. "Well you've been to Stygia, you know about Hecate. That's just scratching the surface." Though still attentive to the conversation at hand, Gloria definitely has an eye of the catfight waiting to happen.
Johann adopts a conciliatory tone. "Of course she has a soul, just as you. And I'm just as interested in establishing a rapport with you as I am with miss Crux here. If you're interested, of course. She simply approached me first, and I'm not about to turn away a new friend." {His persuasion roll towards Cinnamon is a 21} He leans in to Crux and lowers his voice, gesturing to the same door Gloria pointed out. "And that, apparently, is a spare room. Shall we?"

Taking in a controlled breath through her nostrils, Cinnamon rolled her eyes, turning her head away from Crux. She felt her temper flair just a moment, color warming her cheeks. Had the crazy-face just said something snarky? Taking a shot from Cass, she tossed it back and placed the glass back on the table just a little too hard. The fact that everyone seemed so jovial after everything that had happened was beyond her comprehension.
"Yeah, go on," she commented. "I'll make sure Karen doesn't end up on fire or anything." She could feel the color heating her cheeks even further. Reaching for the whiskey, not bothering with a glass this time, Cinnamon's eyes flicked briefly to Johann's. Were these her friends? How the hell did that happen? Sure, they kept her alive, but she felt more like a pet than a friend.

Cass watches Cinnamon grab the whiskey. He smiles at the girl. He knows that look in her eye, and with the kinda day she's had he can't blame her.
"Damn Cin! Taking it straight from the neck now? Hell, be my guest! I should have another bottle."
Cass finishes his drink in one last gulp. He thinks about what Gloria had said.
"Yeah, seems we got a lot of things wrong when it came to god... I haven't been a catholic in a loooooong time. I tell you what dough. SInce being dead I have realized how complicated the world actually is. Maybe I beleive in fate more than ever. It's so complicated a precise. Everything needs to happen just right. I mean look at today. By all accounts we should be dead! Between my dumb drunk ass and Cin ending up alone... It worked out though. And god..."
He pauses and looks at Gloria remembering her comment from earlier.
"Gods. haha. And Gods damn it I don't know what I would have done if something had happened to any of these hoozers. I've gotten kinda attached to em. Closest thing to family I've had since becoming a Sin Eater. heh, and they just as dysfunctional."
He grabs a second bottle of Whiskey. He pours the liquid over some ice. He let's a small silent sentence out. Almost under his breath.
"I really hope it can last..."

Crux is avoiding all talk of God and fate. She doesn't have use for speculation like that, and her head is.. foggy. Not ridiculously so, but enough that she isn't caring about other people's business right now. For once. [rolled a 5 on fucks given]
"Well.. Okay.." She began, handing Karen over to Cinnamon. "She said she'd like a low tide martini. Hold the Vermouth. Hold the vodka. Extra clam juice, please."
So basically, Clam juice.
Then, with a smirk, she looked up to Johann and wrapped herself around his arm. "Well, I guess with Karen taken care of, we can go discuss stuff."

"You are a braver man than me Mr Gutenberg. Crux have fun."
Cass thinks about Crux's last comment.
"Huh, do we even have clam juice?"
{rolled a 17 on resources if that helps}

"Keeley, in all seriousness, you stood toe-to-toe with an angel yesterday." Johann uses Cinnamon's real name to emphasize his sincerity. "An angel designed, built, and sent with the express purpose of killing you, and not only did you survive, but you and your friends damn near killed it. I know I made it look easy to finish what you started, but it really wasn't. I burned quite a bit of juice to make that happen. You earned it. There's a lot of nasty things in the dark of this world; any day you survive is a victory." He raises his glass as a salute, downs it in one, and steers Crux towards the spare room.
And you know what? He's right. You did win that one. You could have killed Mister Shivers. Together! This Johann guy, he's all right. Sure, things were tense there in the beginning but hey, like he said; there's a lot of nasty things out there. You can't blame him for just as defensive and paranoid as you yourself have been. You can feel your nerves settle and your anger subside somewhat. {Mechanically, he is using a Demon lore to push you towards a better mood and a more friendly state of mind.}
"Yeah, I got clam juice." Though not quite finished with her Cosmo, Gloria mixes up a Sex on the Beach for her next drink while she's up - and yes, as silly as it is, she pours some clam juice into a cocktail glass for Karen. "You're good people, Cass. All of you. Down here in the occult underground, that's all you can hope for; good people who stick together. We keep at it, we can make some real difference. Beat a spectre, find out what's up with that mummy Crux mentioned, maybe even fix that time paradox." She takes a drink and smirks. "Don't you worry about being 'dysfunctional'. The people who've got all their ducks in a row, those are the boring ones." Rolling her eyes, she sighs. "Dealing with the stuffy, uptight, proper types sucks SO hard. I wouldn't do it at all if it wasn't just so damn profitable."

Cass is taking a drink when he hears Spectre. {rolled 15 to give a shit} he chokes on his drink.
"Fuckin A! I forgot about the spectre! I need to get on that kerfuffle!"
He pulls out his phone and dials the first number he can think of to try and get tabs on this spectre. He can't do anything till he sobers up in the morning, but her can get a plan going.
"Excuse me for just one moment ladies."
{rolled natural 20 after a very awkward roll in a bowl with a flashlight in my mouth. Tai witnessed this.}

[Rolled 11 in loudness, NAT20 in awkwardness, 22 in postcoital tears, and a 19 in giving a fuck about everyone outside the room]
Surprisingly, Crux neither vomited nor sobbed incessantly, and apparently handled Johann just fine, though she was a little..obvious to the group now and then.
In the room, though, afterward, she sprang up, sitting criss cross applesauce, wrapped in a duvet like a burrito as she stared at Johan. "So..um...about this deal business? Also.. good job. I think that was very good. I mean, I had fun, but I've not had any sort of consultation on this, and um..so.. do you have my soul now or was this funsies or...should I get Karen?"
As much as someone of her kind could, she was blushing.
Also, she was realizing she knew nothing about sex etiquette, devils, or souls as currency.

Suddenly deflated of her anger, Cinnamon can't help but stare after Johann and Crux as they disappear into the spare room. He had actually used her name, not the nickname this motley crew had given her. Catching her lower lip between her teeth, the Changeling pulled Karen into her lap, thoughtfully fiddling with the stuffed otter's necklace. Cinnamon had had every intention of dropping Karen to the floor when she was handed over, but that desire had vanished. Taking the glass of clam juice (gross!) from Gloria, Cinnamon placed both on the coffee table before her.
"We did almost kill that thing, didn't we?" Cinnamon muttered, turning to Cassidy. "Thank you, by the way. I don't know if I mentioned that earlier."
Taking another sip from the whiskey bottle, she tried a smile at Gloria. "I'm rather glad you don't hate me anymore," she mused, leaning back and lifting her hips from the couch so as to pull her phone from her jeans. She paused, the blush returning to her cheeks at the noises coming from the spare room. Cinnamon took a deep breath, managing to retain her composure and stamp down the jealousy that threatened. "I'm aware I'm a bit of a...space-case sometimes."
Swiping past her lock screen, Cinnamon opened her contacts and found Sandler.
<sandler, im sure ur aware of shit happening in chi-town. id like a mtg w u to discuss. -keely> {Rolled a 6 on my texting grammar. That hurt to type...}
Hitting send, Cinnamon set her phone beside her.
"I've decided we need something a bit different. I'm going to reach out to my folk and see if they've noticed anything," she explained.

Gloria waves a hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it, Cinnamon. Shit happens." *bing!* "Ooh, looks like your guy texted you back." <We are aware of a number of problems in the city. Fortunately no signs of Gentry have surfaced, so the Freehold is not yet under lockdown. If you believe you have wind of new and important developments, I'll set a meeting.>
The local Charonite (A sin-eater dedicated to maintaining the Twilight Network - sysadmins, operators, and the like) puts Cassidy on hold for a good ten, maybe fifteen minutes. When she comes back, though, it's with good news. "Okay, Chief, we've got some movement on that. We know he's working in the subways and we've figured out who he's targeting; it's not just Transit workers, it's only the guys who work on the tracks themselves. We're thinking old railway worker when he was alive - so died no earlier than the 1850s - but we haven't gotten an identity yet, so we can't get a fix on his fetters. Got a guy in the DoH looking through death records now. We have tracked some movements and have a few likely hotspots; I'll link you the dropbox so you can download the map. He uses Embody, not Puppetry, so no worries about possession. He's got a sledge, though, so watch out for that. Anything else?"
Completely unfazed, Johann just lights another cigarette. "Oh no, this was just for fun, really. And fun it definitely was, so don't worry about that. You were quite enjoyable. "Contrary to what 'Supernatural' tells you, we don't actually have to do sexual things to seal deals... I mean, plenty of us do, I'm sure, but we don't have to. No, the ritual can vary wildly from one Fallen to the next. So we can still make a deal, if you like. That's up to you."

Crux let out a deep sigh of relief and flopped to the side in her blanket burrito, wiggling her feet. "Oh, good, just checking. That was fun, yes.." she said with a distant air, as though testing if it was true on her tongue. After a moment, her cheerful grin was back and she nodded. "Yep, definitely fun. New experience, gonna decide if that's gonna be a hobby of mine...but.. let's be discreet with Karen, okay? She gets kinda nosy."
Then, the vampire stretched dramatically before springing upright again, kissing Johann on the cheek innocently. "Well, I will think about deals and such. And sleep on it. But if you wanna be my hobby, I can give you the address to the pawn shop I live at."

In the time he was on hold Cassidy was able to find a pen and paper, and promptly wrote down the info that was given to him. Embody, he thought. Thank god he wouldn't have to deal with, or hurt someone to get to this outlaw.
"You know, there is a couple more more tings. Any idea where I could get a convincing transit uniform and paperwork? Long shot I know. Also, are there any rumblings of haunts around town? Something that might be slightly aggressive, but not a wraith, or spectre or anyting?"

Grabbing her phone, Cinnamon swiped and quickly read the response. Her brow furrowed slightly as she considered her reply.
<i would like to set up a mtg still. ive been wrking w the vamps so i want to make sure we have all the angles covered. r u avail tmrw?>
Cinnamon stood, stretching her slender arms over her head and groaning.
"I'm gonna head home. I'm starting to not remember the last time I slept," she mused with a soft chuckle. "Thanks for everything, Gloria. Text me if anything comes up." Slipping her phone into her back pocket, she made her way over to the door of the spare room. She hadn't heard any...noises...in a bit so she thought it might be safe to interrupt. She had a feeling that Crux wouldn't take too kindly to her leaving Karen unattended. Cinnamon rapped her knuckles against the door.
"Uh...Crux? Sorry to interrupt. Just letting you know I'm out. Karen's with Cass and Gloria." Blushing slightly, Cinnamon stepped away from the door and headed out to finally get some good sleep. This whole being almost killed repeatedly took a lot out of a girl.
